Many travellers know me simply as Jes. Born in Georgetown and raised across several Malaysian states, I’ve grown up immersed in the country’s diverse cultures, landscapes, and stories. This journey shaped my deep passion for Malaysia’s history, heritage, and the vibrant communities that make it truly unique. I am now based in Kuala Lumpur, where I run Tour With Jes, sharing this love for Malaysia with every guest I meet.
My path into guiding was inspired by my own travels. After exploring 25 countries, I realised how meaningful it is to connect with locals and understand the stories that shape a place. This inspired me to create tours that let visitors experience Malaysia not just through sightseeing, but by truly engaging with its people, culture, and history.
As a personal driver-guide, I’ve completed over 120 tours for solo travellers, couples, families, and groups from around the world. I am also passionate about photography and love helping my guests capture their perfect moments, creating memories they can cherish forever. Each journey is designed around my guests’ interests, making every tour personal, engaging, and memorable.
Giving back is important to me. I have adopted an Indigenous village in the Cameron Highlands, supporting the children with educational resources. I strongly believe in the power of education, and contributing to their growth is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
